Last weekend I got the chance to revisit The Great Smokey Mountains National Park, and had the opportunity to photograph some deer. The following shots were taken with a 70-200 @ f/4. It was very cold out, and I creeped out into the middle of this open field and managed to get flat on my stomach without scaring off these deer. The camera must have intrigued one of the deer, he just kept circling me and getting closer trying to see what all that clicking was about.

If your one of the few who visit my blog daily, you might have noticed for the last few days the dreaded redirect loop error. Something funky has been going on with Godaddy and WordPress and I have spent tons of time on the phone with GoDaddy and many many emails with WordPress and this is how they went, over and over again.
WordPress: Its not us, its GoDaddy.
GoDaddy: Everything looks fine on our end, its defenitly WordPress.
So I had to compromise my domain which is actually blog.dancingpancakes.com, and replace it with a generic wordpress one “thepixelpirate.wordpress.com” until I find whoever was to blame and get the problem fixed, and in the meantime I might look for some place else to host my blog AND JUST IN CASE YOU MISSED IT i don’t want you to feel deprived so here is the redirect loop error for your viewing pleasure.
This week we start the first of our new “Tips & Techniques” weekly video series. Our first video is going to be taking a photo from capture to completion using some basic color correction and enhancing techniques. Enjoy.
